This song was possible written in the 9th century as a Latin hymn. I find it unbelievably astounding that this song has managed to dazzle and impress us for over 1000 years.

The majority of the movie is about whether or not Neo believes he is chosen, important, and special. And far too often, our lives come down to the same thing. Especially in our careers. What we believe is possible for our lives, for our career goals, for God’s ability to use us comes down almost entirely to what we believe about ourselves.

I was chosen by Christ- not waitlisted, not accidently added, not just a possibility, but whole-heartedly accepted and loved just as is. He didn’t have a list of specifications I had to perfectly complete. He didn’t have a blackmail policy- “you do this for me and I’ll think about it”. He didn’t make a last-minute switch from the deny to the accept list.
